The skies were blue and Mother's day was everything I hoped it would be. It was Quiet, Tasty and Restful. I spent a wonderful day surrounded by my family and Iron Man {Yes, we're still riding our Avengers kick - we love it.}  Michael grilled a wonderful meal, the boys cleaned the kitchen and I even got to work in a nap. All in all, a wonderful day. I requested a quiet day with no gifts, as my husband treats every holiday like Christmas morning....but I still wound up with lots and lots of flowers - I really LOVE daisies. When I questioned flowered gifts, my husband replied, "Biodegradable gifts don't even count." I love him so much.

Hope you had a great Mother's day too. This is one of my favorite photographs. It's a self portrait taken almost 8 years ago at the beach with my Middle babe, Grant.

I like that I didn't even wipe the sand off my nose.

Brandon set the tone for our shoot. The first words out of his mouth, was about how he was the luckiest man in the world.  And while he talked about his love for Cavesha, he smiled and never took his eyes off of her.  Together they are warm and affectionate, in a shy private way that reminded me of holding hands for the first time. It felt so nice just to be around them. Our shoot was filled with laughter and smiles and a little mud.  Cavesha and Brandon are starting their happily ever after this June.
