There is nothing better than reminiscing about the good old days. A great way to do this while driving is to give your child your smart phone. I did this Friday Night and Madison watched every video on my phone and drained my battery to a sweet 30%. Together, We blew out every birthday candle again. Took a trip to the beach. Watched Jefferson Eat sand. Went to the dance recital. Re-Adopted Princess Fiona from the sad sad dog pound. Relived the first day of school for Grant and Madison. And I got to hear, " That was a good day. Wish I could get that one back!" Come out of my five year old's mouth. She sounded like a little old lady. I couldn't help but giggle. I enjoyed my trip down smart phone memory lane. Our technology is so fantastic, we can blast in to the past when ever we want. We can rememeber. We can watch the memory. We can even recreate the film and photo processing that is nearly impossible to do anymore or is too expensive to experiment on with one click of our fantastic technology. I hope you enjoyed blasting into the past as much as I did this week!

Week 43's theme is: Borrowed
I borrowed this baby on Friday. Meet one month Gracie. She'll be with me every month her first year. I've been borrowing a baby every week it seems. Confession: I really think I'm dragging these sessions out with extra holding and rocking. I can't seem to stop myself. It's the best part of the week, rocking those sweet babies.
What's New with Daphne Ellenburg?
It was a tough week. First, My laptop cord died. {sad face} Mike kept it alive for the rest of the day with a kitchen knife and plumbers tape. Some real MacGyver stuff.
Then, Fall allergies tried to destroy me. Sigh.
After a trip to the Doc, things started to turn around. Mike bought me a much needed present.
I started to feel better and then Halloween planning took over. Madison will be Merida from Brave.
And I will be Merida's Mom.
Ok, my costume probably won't be THIS cool. Since this bear is $700 on Amazon.com and Michael just won't budge on letting me a be the most awesome $700 bear in Creola Alabama. So, I'll probably be wearing one of my $5.99 dumpy plastic animal masks. Unless any of you has a menacing bear costume for me to borrow ;-)
Jefferson will be a Spartan.
or a Bat.
Or a equally menacing tiny bear. He just likes to try stuff on. I love Halloween. The older boys want to be someone who kills zombies. Go figure.
I wanted us all to wear these. But I lost (again).
With over a week before Halloween, we may all change our minds again ~ who knows who we will be. A band of Indians? A bunch of Ellenburgs in plastic bear masks? Angry birds? Abraham Lincoln Vampire hunters? Oh, the mystery continues.
Wishing you a wonderful week of Borrowed fun with your family and photography. Make it a GREAT week!
