Hold ON tight! This milestone is a ton of fun and adventure!

The third baby milestone is photographed at about month 9 or 10.

A new baby is growing and changing every day and Daphne Ellenburg, a South Alabama baby milestone photographer captures these invaluable memories and moments as art with baby milestone photography. With many years of experience photographing babies grow, South Alabama milestone Photographer, Daphne Ellenburg specializes in lifestyle baby milestone photography. Daphne has gained a reputation as an esteemed Gulf Coast baby Photographer. Her milestone photography celebrates your baby’s flawless natural beauty. As a seasoned milestone photographer, Daphne’s milestone photography is infused with the excitement of your baby’s growth. Milestone photography clients love her attention to detail, and her Milestone photography focuses on all the exciting new tricks your baby can do as they grow and change during the BIG first year. Most importantly, her milestone photography captures the joy of motherhood and fatherhood, and the special bond between new parents and growing babies.

Your third milestone session is scheduled at an estimated 9-10 months, and the milestone photography sessions generally lasts sixty minutes. Ellenburg Photography photographs four milestones during the first big year. Milestones can be photographed individually or as a packaged group. Daphne views your milestone photography sessions as the beginning of a beautiful relationship. She looks forward to capturing your maternity photography, newborn photography, baby photography and family photography to be treasured for years to come.

What is the third Baby Milestone? The second milestone is the “Holding On.” When you baby starts pulling up and trying to walk around your furniture, even for just a little while, it’s time to book in. During the third milestone, you will notice that this is the first milestone that does not follow a doctor visit. Your baby will still be photographed on the soft baby puck but only for the cuddly wrapped in white shots. Your baby will be fully ready to move around the studio and try out all the fun. Some babies are also crawling for this milestone. We also have a wonderful variety of tiny ladders and chairs to make capturing this exciting milestone fun and easy. This is also the milestone where we do baby bath time in our fun tiny custom baby bath tub. Daphne loves to stuff as many yellow rubber ducks into this shoot as possible...and bubbles! It’s fun to move around the studio with this milestone and enjoy the fun seasonal portrait set ups in addition to the normal third milestone portrait adventures.

Is your new baby walking around your furniture?

Let's Photograph a milestone together. There is nothing more beautiful and sweet than growing babies. Many people never lose the desire to hold babies or to be near babies – babies seem to bring out the goodness and joy in everyone. Watching these babies grow into toddlers is a real joy. Milestone Baby photographer Daphne Ellenburg knows this.  South Alabama Mothers and Fathers dread the day their newborns are no longer newborns, because they enjoy that innocence, tenderness and purity, which presents itself in a peaceful and delicate manner. That sweetness grows with them as they milestone. Now there is a way to preserve those lovely images forever and pull them out whenever you need to reminisce, or are having a moment of nostalgia and that is with Milestone photography. Milestone photography will make it easy for you to keep those tender moments lasting forever. Daphne Ellenburg specializes in all milestone photography for baby’s first year in Saraland Alabama.

Daphne’s beautiful maternity portraits capture the beauty and intense emotion of this special time. Pregnancy is a life-changing experience, and these invaluable memories are captured as the art of your gorgeous life with Daphne Ellenburg's beautiful maternity photography. With over a decade of experience, Alabama photographer Daphne Ellenburg specializes in fine art studio photography and lifestyle Maternity Photography. Ellenburg Photography has gained a reputation as an esteemed Gulf Coast Maternity Photographer. Daphne's maternity photography celebrates the voluptuous curves and natural glow of pregnancy. Knowing how special these portraits are to you NOW and how special they will be to your baby, planing for this portrait experience is invaluable.

How do I plan for Maternity Portraits?

At Ellenburg Photography, Daphne creates a special maternity portrait plan just for you. You will receive a plan for the best weeks to create your portraits and a list of things to bring to ensure you have the best Portrait experience.

The MUST BRING LIST.

1. Bring ONE outfit that makes you feel Pretty.

Sometimes, especially in the hot unforgiving Alabama sunshine, it's hard to feel pretty when you are pregnant. But no matter how crumby you may feel, you have that one outfit that you just know is perfect for all occasions. It is also perfect for these portraits. Wear it to the studio. Make it the first thing you get photographed in. Wearing something you feel comfortable in is always a great place to start your session. Daphne Ellenburg also stocks a ton of gorgeous maternity gowns. When you book in for your maternity portraits at Ellenburg Photography, Daphne will give you the option to be photographed in her custom gowns.

2. Bring your Sonogram Portrait.

Sonograms make a nice portrait addition for your maternity portraits. A great belly shot holding that sweet portrait of your new baby will be a real show stopper for your maternity portrait album. The sonogram is easily worked into your session with just Mom, Dad or siblings. Just grab it off the fridge on your way to the studio.

3. Bring your Baby's Siblings.

Becoming a big Brother or big Sister is a BIG deal in South Alabama. Parents are making custom t-shirts and onsies to spread the word that your family is growing. With this kind of excitement, they really NEED to be included in your session. A big belly hug goes a long way to creating something special that your new baby will cherish. Bring those new t-shirts too.

4. Bring your Spouse.

New Mom, as much as you KNOW this shoot is about you, Dad will argue it is about him too. Why even fuss about it? Bring Dad along. It's a perfect opportunity to get wonderful cuddly portraits of the two of you before you become the three of you. It's also a GREAT time to show off Dad's excitement about your growing family.

5. Bring Manicured Hands.

The maternity portrait shoot is all about the belly and drawing attention to the belly. Hands are used to accentuate that baby over and over again during your session. Having a GREAT fresh manicure will go a long way to making you fall in love with your Maternity portraits. Daphne recommends a nice neutral paint color for your nails. Think nudes, creams, pale pinks to make the most of your shoot. And it's everyone loves the pampering of a nice manicure. While you are there, get your toes done too. You deserve it.

Is your family growing?

Is your family growing? or someone you love? Send them to Ellenburg Photography for a Maternity Portrait Consult. At our cozy studio consults, Daphne Ellenburg can review scheduling for your session, planning and show you our beautiful custom maternity gowns exclusive to our South Alabama portrait studio. She can also show you her awarding winning Newborn photography work and help with the arrival of the newest member of your family. This new baby is EVERYTHING. Let the portrait professionals at Ellenburg photography create the stunning art you deserve for your family.

Snap shots of life are everywhere thanks to the newest cell phones with the extra most bestest cameras. And for every day things these phones do a pretty decent job at it. However there are times when you want to hire a professional photographer to document and create some extra special images of your family. And you really can't wait to display these breathtaking, beautiful, emotion filled images that totally captured your amazing family in this precious moment in time.  You have visions of framed smiles on your wall, gorgeous albums on your coffee table, a canvas in your foyer and maybe something extra delicious over the fire place. You are ready to do some serious redecorating with the faces that love you the most.

You start hunting for your photographer. And you tell this studio what you want and where you want and how you want it to look and feel.

And by the way, I want to print all these things myself.

Now at this point, a GOOD photographer will slow you down. Digital files are great for printing extra 5x7's for grandma or wallets to pass out like candy, but for something BIG. You want a professional photographer to help you decorate those walls. And here's why...

1. Digital files are NOT forever.

90% of all digital files end up taking space in a drawer in your home. Maybe you put them in a special drawer filled with all the disks of your life's precious moments. Of all the digital files hanging out in drawers across america, only a fraction have ever been printed. And if you're never going to print them, what's the point? Why spend all that money on new outfits, perfect hair and a professional photographer? Digital files are meant to be a temporary place to store your portraits. Not a forever home.

2. Technology Changes

When Baby Jackson was a little squirt, Daphne always bought all of his digital files along with his prints. Why? Because that is what you did. And guess what she has them on? A floppy disk. Oh yes. Does she have anything that will read this disk? Do you? No way. How long before the CD disappears? They are already a specialty add on for most desk tops and many laptops now, imagine 18 years from now when you are searching for baby pictures of your high school senior that you didn't print? Technology is always changing and there is always the change of a disk failing. Don't risk it, print them.

3. Auto is for Amateurs.

At Ellenburg Photography, we LOVE printing. Think long and hard about basing your photographer choices upon getting everything on a disk. You are making an investment in what might not be the best choice for you. Digital files are great if you plan to use a print lab that you know for a fact can reproduce the images exactly like you saw them on the Photographer's Computer when they showed you those gorgeous edited images. If your photographer does sell you digital files, they should also recommend some labs to you. Drug store auto printers are for amateurs. To truly get the BEST images of the faces you love, you should really consider letting your photographer control the printing.  Ellenburg Photography has access to labs that accurately reproduce your images to our high standards. I can assure you that a good professional photographer is so rediculously strict on what they deliver to a client, you'd be surprised how many images don't pass our standards and have to be redone before you get them. Daphne Ellenburg cares about the quality of the images you hang on your wall because her name is on those images, maybe not physically so but that is her life's work up there. She wants your family and friends to be wowed by the gorgeousness of that portrait. You want a photographer with that kind of passion for your walls.

4. Portrait Prints can always be recreated.

It's easy to find image archives with 200 + year old portraits. That's because, FIRST they were portraits. Leave a legacy that will stand the test of time. Ellenburg photography UV coats all your images so they never fade in the sun. Ellenburg Photography offers archival framing so your photo never reaches the elements. Print your portraits. And if you want digital get digital too - but print them. Daphne Ellenburg gives every client a low res digital file of every image we print for you.

Remember TODAY forever in stunning portraits.

Spring has sprung and that means warmer weather, longer days and green is back - everywhere. Spring is my favorite time of the year. There is something magical about watching everything grow and bloom around you. It's hard to resist the urge to open every window and door and suck in all that delicious spring air - if only all that pesky Pollen didn't try to ruin a good thing. Pollen is that yellow cloud of dust on your car. It is wafting through the air everywhere. It's attacking all the little people. Suddenly everyone has red eyes and a runny nose. It's no fun, but you don't have to hide from the beautiful spring adventures.

You don't have to hide from the beautiful Spring adventures.

South Alabama photographer, Daphne Ellenburg, knows all too well the woes of spring for the children and families she photographs. Ellenburg Photography offers a full outdoor while indoor set ups in the studio for our smallest babies and the families who suffer from spring time allergies. We can bring the beautifulness of Spring to the great indoors for you at any studio session in our Saraland Alabama portrait studio.

Let's Play in the Pollen!

From your window, the flowers are so beautiful and every thing is so deliciously green. It can be hard to resist the magic of Springtime. If the call of the great outdoors is too strong for you to ignore for your portraits and you know you'll be fighting your yellow enemy - POLLEN - never fear, Alabama photographer, Daphne Ellenburg, has some great tips for you to make your time outside for portraits the most enjoyable.

1. Check the Pollen Count

This might not be a no brainer - but did you know that you can check the pollen count every day just like the weather? Ratings are things like minimal, high and VERY high.  If the count is too high - DO NOT schedule your outdoor portrait shoot for that day. This count is out a week in advance, just like the weather. If you or someone you love suffers from pollen allergies, make sure to share that with your photographer. I promise not to ask you to roll around in the flowers if it's going to make you cry. Guaranteed.

2. Plan your Time around your Allergy

Yellow pollen is at it's highest disruption to you each day from 5am to 10am. This means, early Saturday mornings are a solid NO for you. Don't do it to yourself. Consider later afternoon outdoor sessions where you can enjoy the glorious evening sunshine. The evening sunshine is the most flattering anyway. It's a win win for you. High five yourself.

3. Change your clothes

After your outdoor portrait session, Alabama family photographer, Daphne Ellenburg, recommends changing your clothes immediately after your session. This will help you not to transfer the outdoor pollen around your home and onto your favorite things. Also - wash your hair that night. This might be a no brainer, but you don't want that dirty pollen on your pillow. Yuck.

4. Leave your Shoes outside.

The garage is a great place for pollen covered shoes. The last think you want to do after frolicking in the flowers with Ellenburg Photography is to track that pollen all over your floor that your kids will no doubt roll around in. It's a good tip, if you can get your kids to actually remember to do it. I'm still fighting with my own over it.

5. Bathe your Pets

Many families bring the family pet along for outdoor portrait adventures. Little people and a big dog rolling around in a field of yellow flowers will tug at your heart strings every time. Don't deprive yourself of this joy. Just bathe the dog after your adventure. Easy Breezy.

With a little help from South Alabama Children and Family Photographer, Daphne Ellenburg, YOU really can enjoy gorgeous outdoor spring portraits again. The yellow flowers are everywhere this week and I've got a gorgeous NEW forest to play in. Let's plan for the pollen and play in the sunshine this Spring. Seriously, how gorgeous is this NEW forest? We're going to make so much magic here this season.

Life is full of amazing moments. South Alabama family photographer, Daphne Ellenburg slows that amazing life down and creates stunning portraits of the people you love the most.  Ellenburg Photography specializes in children at all stages of life, from that wrinkly little seven pounder that you can’t wait to arrive through to that wispy haired High School Senior on the cusp of adulating. We love to photograph all the fun stuff in between. You know when you and your husband spend all your time trying to decide who he looks more like? And you need the photos to prove you are winning at life. I’m your family photographer. When want to celebrate a birthday or a winning homerun or that first dance solo. I’m your family photographer.

Family Photography in South Alabama is more than just the Children.

Sure you need those delicious family portraits for your Christmas cards – and you won’t be disappointed with our amazing holiday portrait adventures, but the good stuff, the REAL good stuff is happening 24/7 all year long. My job is to help you slow this crazy life rollercoaster down and document who’s doing what in the most amazing way possible.  When you know you want the BEST family portraits, the first thing Daphne Ellenburg will do is get you in for a consult. A family portrait consult is your road map to Ellenburg Photography. It is where we talk about all the exciting things the kids are doing. We plan how to showcase it in an amazing portrait that you and they will adore. We talk about wardrobe. We talk about the seasonal fun set ups in the studio. In the Spring, we have bunnies. In the summer, Ellenburg Photography has a full beach set up inside her Saraland Alabama studio. In the fall, it’s all about the football, so we feature a locker room and a stadium set up so we can cheer on your favorite teams together. In the Winter, is all about snow and Santa. Yes, you know he visits his favorite photographer in South Alabama for one entire weekend each and every year.

Family Photography in South Alabama is more than just the Children.

The happy children you bring into my Saraland Alabama portrait studio are a direct result of the loving home you created. Parents are our number one. You will be photographed alone and together while your children make funny faces at you. Everytime you come in. Somewhere along the way after changing our first name to MOM, we forget to have a beautiful portrait taken of ourselves. I am here to remind you, parents, you are the glue holding this crazy world together. Our family portrait sessions are fun. The smiles are real and sometimes a little wacky because we were laughing so hard or because someone dared you to start a tickle fight.

Family Portraits in South Alabama are FUN at Ellenburg Photography.

Your children will look forward to coming back in over and over again.  At Ellenburg Photography, we want to document your beautiful life in art that will move you when you walk by it every day for the rest of your days. We will document littleness to perfection. We will make the awkward tweens look the cover of Pre-Teen Vogue. And your High School senior will look like he stepped off the cover of Sports Illustrated.

Every South Alabama Family Portrait session is planned.

There is no more guessing. You know what to pack, to bring and what will be set up when you arrive. You never have to worry about being rained out, because you we are creating amazing family portraits inside our beautiful wind-free Saraland Alabama Studio. Never worry about squinty glare filled portraits with crazy wind hair again. Let us take the stress and worry out of your family portraits. We recommend at least two family portraits a year. I photograph my family the week of the fourth of July because I love Red White and Blue and at Christmas. Every year like a clock. We will help you plan the best times for you. We will take into account birthday celebrations, anniversary joys and holiday adventure.

On Location Family Portraits in South Alabama have never looked better when you hire Daphne Ellenburg.

Do you want to toy with Mother Nature surrounded by the people you love the most? We can help you select the most gorgeous beaches and nature scenes you have imagined. We will help you pick the perfect time of the day and keep a close eye on the weather. You can have the family portraits you’ve always dreamed of inside and outside the studio.

Family Sessions at Ellenburg Photography are like a beautiful Puzzle.

South Alabama families are busy. We will photograph your children with what they love. We will photograph siblings together and separate. With Mom and then with Dad. Everyone will be photographed alone and together. And everyone will be puzzled in together like a perfect Tetris square to create the family portrait masterpiece you have always dreamed of hanging on your wall. We know posing. Mom’s you will LOVE the way you look. Dad’s, it won’t take all day. Everyone wins with Ellenburg Photography Family portraits.
