Little is the new BIG thing this week for Ellenburg Photography's Project 52. "Little" is a loaded word that really has a lot going on for it, begging us to embrace the little things. Little. It's nice to hold something so tiny like gritty grains of sand in the palm of your hand, making them feel even smaller. And you even bigger. On the other side, it's great to stand at the foot of the wave filled ocean or gaze up into the big giant harvest Moon and know that we are so little in comparison. Remembering both helps really keep life in perspective. A favorite little thing to photograph this week for many of our group were our children. It's nice that knowing that someone so little will grow up so big, but will always be your baby - no matter what. That makes me feel warm and fuzzy.
Our group has some great "little" treats for you, so lets roll out this week's top ten. If you enjoy the top ten artists, the links to their work are directly below each photo. Check out their work, send them some love. Remember giving out pats on the back feels good, so pat away!
Here. We. Go.
ONE {Great processing and wonderful words. I want to share them with you guys...}
They sit together,
Quietly.
Watching the water and the birds.
Searching for seals.
I see them there. The two of them.
I know they won't be like this forever.
I know that all too soon they will be grown.
They will be gone into the big, wide expanse of the world.
To follow their own path. Forge their own way.
Away from me and from each other and from these times.
But, I will remember this moment.
And I remember that once they were together.
I will remember that once they were little.
TWO {Beautiful color & DOF -Great idea for this week's theme! Scrabble rocks!}
THREE {Great black and white and even greater reflection. What's so cool about this shot, is even your reflection has a reflection. Awesome. Is this your fancy iphone 5?}

Project 52 Week 40/52 - Little By Fur Will Fly
Week 41's theme is "ROUND"
With so many round things to choose from, I went with an old favorite...baseball. It's hard not to think of baseball while we celebrate this week's triple crown winner, and wild card Friday. {Go Braves!} Oh, Heck I just love baseball. This shot was shot with 3 soft boxes using Micheal's old first base glove and ball. Edited with Nik's HDR Efex Pro using the high contrast HDR feature. I really like how it makes the worn glove pop.
{I really love this shot!}
What's new with Daphne Ellenburg?
For starters, I'm sleep deprived. It's really catching up with me over the past couple of days...but no mater how tired I am, this weekend we celebrate. Jefferson is nearly one month old. Is it just me or did this month fly by?
My wall art arrived and yes it was bigger than the baby - its a 20x30 canvas wrap. I once printed a "life size" 16x20 of baby Madison. That was fun too.
This is my oldest baby, Jackson. {You know the one that thinks he's taller than me.} He had his first football game this week. I'm so glad I got to go. I was so proud to watch him play.
Here's a quick shot of #41 in action...
And to keep with my maternity leave tradition...I always try out a new hairstyle. I usually talk myself into going shorter...but not this time. I became nostalgic for bangs. Instead of going straight across, I opted for the baby steps of swoopy side bangs. Here's my new do.
As for the rest of my week...well I'm taking Jefferson's one month photos, great baseball, football and Michael has agreed to be photographed for a solid 20 minutes. Imagine all the fun I'm planning!
Wishing you a wonderful week filled with Family, Fun and Photography! Make it a great week!
